Sooner than if you had ordered it through the retail channel. I heard this 
story from an unnamed Apple employee: Retail wanted something in the 
stores for Christmas, so they agreed that if education gave them first 
dibs on Classics (which is *part* of why they're back-ordered at many 
campuses), education could have first dibs on LCs.

BTW, the LC 2/40 is $1413 (without monitor) here.
