Apparently the makers of the various Cyrillic fonts have arranged the letters phonetically or something, so a Russian can't touch-type. I need to do this with both PostScript and screen fonts. I assume I could use Fontographer or something to rearrange a font, so that when the user types "A", the Cyrillic character from the corresponding position on a Russian keyboard is associated with ASCII 65. Has anyone done this sort of thing? Will it work with PS fonts? Am I doing it the hard way? Any help is most appreciated. Please mail replies to kraig@biostr.washington.edu.
