Like so many others, I've reached the point where I literally don't feel I can trust floppies that come out of my machine, which is a two-year-old SE/30 with the first generation SuperDrive. And it's been going on for a while. In my case, the problem is almost exclusively with 1.4 MB disks. I've asked for a response from the resident Apple tech person on Bix, and received nothing, which made me think that in fact they were working on an offical response.
