Message-ID: <386@rusux1.rus.uni-stuttgart.de> Date: 19 Dec 90 13:47:44 GMT Sender: zrf80385@rusux1.rus.uni-stuttgart.de Organization: Uni Stuttgart, Chem. Eng. Lines: 22 Originator: claus@suncvt13 In scientific texts (mathematical) vectors are usually typed in boldface. In order to get greek symbols bold, I use \boldmath (LaTeX). However, this does not work in the footnotes (no boldmath in this typesize!). Is there are way to scale un available font (cmmib10) so that I can print bold greek letters in footnotesize? How do I do that? The LateX manual does not give much advise in that. I tried \newfont{\bmathfn}{cmmib10 scaled X} but that did not work. Using \bmathfn in the footnotes did not have any effect on the size or style of the footnote. What is the solution? \end{claus} 8-) claus@suncvt13.verfahrenstechnik.uni-stuttgart.de
