I have a SunOS 4.1 machine as the client. When I run lpd -d (for debug) on the RT, I get this message repeated on the console: lpd: Connection opened. lpd: received 5 characters... state 0 lpd: chk_printer, printer lp1 lpd: chk_printer, pqueue lp1 lpd: received 32 characters... state1 lpd: chk_request 209 dfA001geoph-sun-a lpd: foreign closed. Notes: 1) The remote client (the sun) is called geoph-sun-a 2) It appears that the client starts talking to the server, then gets cutoff. It retries over and over. Any suggestions? Please ?!? Thanks, -Henry Bland
