My system (at BIOS and Unix) seems to just ignore the SoundBlaster. Occasionally (haven't for a LONG time) I get warnings that interrupts are coming from the printer. IRQ 7 is used for the printers, so that makes sense if the soundblaster gets something through the microphone. The only thing you could try is to reset the soundblaster to an unused IRQ, such as 2. IRQ 5 is used for the serial ports and tape drives. Try to also change the I/O address. ...Martin Martin Schedlbauer (mschedlb@ulowell.edu) Institute for Visualization and Perception Research Department of Computer Science University of Lowell, Lowell, MA 01854 (Tel: (508) 934-3612)
