I can rdump anything from another Ultrix machine without having to worry about the dump parameters for length. The problem I have run into is when rdumping from an A/UX MacII. The rdump program on A/UX 2.0 is not quite as robust for foreign machines as I would like. I can get rdump to work if I use a blocking factor of 10 from the A/UX side, but it asks me to change tapes (and I can't believe that a 200mb disk can use 1.2gb in tape for a dump and then ask for more!). Can anyone help with this? I would really like to dump all those beasts to this tape drive instead of having to use my one-and-only 9-track tape on a Sequent.
