Keywords: Paintbrush monochrome color Message-ID: <1990Dec19.033034.8818@cbnews.att.com> Date: 19 Dec 90 03:30:34 GMT Distribution: na Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories Lines: 21 OK, here's a question from a novice who just started using Windows 3.0. I had a 256-color GIF file that I converted to a dithered B&W image using the Graphics Workshop. Again using GWS, I converted the dithered image to a monochrome BMP file. When I open this BMP file from within Paintbrush, the color palette across the bottom of the screen turns into a selection of B&W patterns. The color editor also comes up in B&W. Is there any way I can edit color into this B&W image? I tried setting the color menu option and reloading the file, but again I got the B&W patterns instead of a color palette. I also converted the BMP image to a PCX file, but got the same result. Thanks. -- Keith -- | W.
