Color pallette capacity is not necessarily an issue. However, he has an original 8MHz true-blue IBM PC/AT and has no interest in upgrading it (so far). Most of his work is in Windows (3.0 now). I am concerned that using one of the new high-res video cards (1024x768) and monitors will put a real load on the GUI overhead in drawing such large images on such a slow machine so that he will end up trading off speed for the improved image.
