I compile the simple_seln.c program from the XView Programming Manual (its in $OPENWINHOME/share/src/sun/xview/examples/seln_svc/simple_seln.c). I run it. I Press the 'Print Selection' button. The selection is printed. (I do this several times - its fun :-)) I press 'Quit'. The program finishes. My xterm (which had the selection) dies. Its final words were, mrd@marr,22 xterm: warning, error event receieved: X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 2 (X_ChangeWindowAttributes) Minor opcode of failed request: 0 Resource id in failed request: 0xb00004 Serial number of failed request: 104 Current serial number in output stream: 104 Funnily enough, if the selection is in a shelltool, everything is OK. Also funnily enough, if I am running xsun (instead of xnews) everything is also OK. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is there a bug somewhere (server, xterm) or is it just an incompatibility between xterm and OpenWindows?
