According to David Brinkley, on his Sunday morning show, there was a mid-air
collision between 2 aircraft over the Soviet Union,(or should we say 'DisUnion'
these days), which was survived by a female passenger who fell 3 miles.
He gave no other details other than to mention the airline awarded her the
equivalent of $50 dollars because her luggage was lost in the ordeal.

Has anyone else heard more details of this incident?
