Informix databases can store graphic images in the form of Binary Large OBjectS (BLOBS). To the database user, they appear as columns in a table. They are actually stored in "blobspaces" on disk. The blob- spaces are managed by the DB engine. They can be retreived to a file and processed by any software designed to do so, such as our graphics software product Wingz. Wingz runs on the Mac, under Windows, Open View, and soon OSF/MOTIF. Using our client/server architecture product Datalink, Wingz can interact with any Informix datbase on any platform via TCP/IP. ___ ___ / ) __ . __/ /_ ) _ __ Informix Software, Inc. _/__/ (_(_ (/ / (_(_ _/__> (-' -/~ (_/ 5299 DTC Boulevard, Suite 740 dberg@cougar.informix.com _/ Englewood, CO 80111 (303) 850-0210
