The Telebit NetBlazer sits on the network via up to 3 ethernet boards
with AUI/BNC interfaces.  The routing capabilities in this device
can provide IP routing between subnets on any of the up to 3 ethernet
interfaces, a Sync 56K (non-switched with DSU/CSU) PPP connection, or
dial-up Async modems (using virtual circuits to a remote LAN or user).

Correct.  Two (2) ports are included in the basic configuration which is
a 16 Mhz 386SX system.  The additional 24 Async RS-232 ports are provided
by up to three (3) 8-port multiport boards.  A 56K interfaces with a
V.35 or RS-232 connection is also available.  DSU/CSU not included.

There should be no problem using the NetBlazer in this type of network.
Limitations may be presented to systems trying to access or route
through the NetBlazer, though.

me a call.  I was working on this product while a Telebit and continue to
sell this product as an authorized Telebit distributor (Please accept my
apologies in advance for this salesy plug...).  I will be more than happy
to assist in any assessment of this product for user applications.

This product has been discussed in the net newsgroups as 'pricey'.  While
this may be so for certain budgets (starting list => $2995), there are
Government Service Agency (GSA) and Educational Institution discounts
