When I get a message in the minibuffer, I would like to be able to scroll it horizontally. I do not know how to do this without making the message go away... Is there a method for doing this? Is there a ring of messages? Has anyone implemented a package that will let you scroll through the last N minibuffer messages? The other problem I have with the minibuffer is that if I am typing in it and I go past the right edge of the screen, it scrolls the full width of the screen. This means that I can't see the last few characters that I typed, and often I have to keep toggling back and forth with C-a and C-e. Is there a way to make it scroll less? Thanks.
