Since I've gotten some interest in how to do this, I'll relate the
procedure as far as I've gotten.

     1. Run your adobe font through a utility called Un-Adobe for the
        Macintosh, availible on any info-mac archive in the util
        directory (128.252.135.4 is where I got it)
     2. Strip the returns from the resultant file AFTER the header.
        Since the only success I've had is with Adobe Type 1s (I have
        some Type 1s made with Fontographer v2.xx, no dice), you begin
        after the line "eexec" in the header. I used Word 4.0, and what
        you have to strip in that are the end-of-paragraph symbols.
     3. Translate then through Apple File Exchange.
     4. Translate the files from Adobe Type 1 to Corel format with
        WFN Boss.
     5. In some fonts (AvantGarde for example), if you translate to
        Type 1 right away, you get odd lines in some characters, the
        body of an "i" is connected to its dot by a thin line, etc...
        If you translate to TypeFoundry and back again, this problem
        is eliminated...
     6. Convert to Type 1. To get everything under one name (you'll
        know what I mean) the PS Fontname in the .WFN files should be
        changed to the same with the Font Info command in WFN Boss...
        The corel name should be chaged too - it translates into the
        family name when you make Type 1s.

This is where the Attributes problem I posted about comes in - here's
where I'm stuck... With ATM for Windows, you don't see much change in
quality if you don't have specific Bold, Italic, BoldItalic fonts for
each typestyle, but there probably is some...)

If anybody finds a simpler way to do this or how to solve the attribute
problem, let me know...
