Well, I've see what you mean. I use JRComm, but I found if I wanted more than 2 colors I had to keep the serial port locked at 19.2. The best program I know of is AZComm,however make sure you have a version of serial.device that handles CTS/RTS flow control correctly and make sure the modem is set for a locked DTE rate with full hardware flow control.
