Your second posting makes it more definite. You're calling site "sereneslow" but connecting with site "serene". On "real" uucp, this would cause the calling site to immediately drop the connection on the assumption is to the wrong site. Evidently Amiga uucp does the same thing, though it's not too obvious about it. Try renaming the system entry so you're calling "serene" and not "sereneslow." In general, you the name used in the system entry has to match the name the system will identify itself with (the "Shere=" line).
