Normally harddisks are put on ACSI-Device #0, so you have to adjust one of them to another address. I don't know much about the SLM, but it sounds obvious to me that is relatively useless w/o harddisk, so I'd say it is already on another address. To be on the safe side, read the appropriate paragraphs of the manual.
