Then try again (but do not exit transfer dialog in Uniterm) this time you will have a message that the other side doesn't accept 8-bit quoting. Just let it continue transfer and everything will be fine. You can do as meny transfers as you like by step 4 but if you exit transfer dialog you will have to go to step 3 again.
