C code , perl, awk or anything else that works. BUT I need everything, not just a formula or the skeleton of a perl script (already posted). I tried that perl script and after adding a whole bunch of shit just so my machine would recognize it, it wouldn't read a damn thing. My problem is, when I try to download a 7.5K ASC object and I only have 11K available. Apparently it needs two copies of the damn thing because I just get Insuficient memory over and over. I would like to be able to decode it on the UNIX and thus be able to do a binary instead of ASCII transfer which avoids this odd problem. ian -- +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_ THERE WILL BE NO STUDENT DEFERMENTS!!
