Message-ID: Date: 22 Dec 90 19:17:06 GMT Sender: news@ccncsu.ColoState.EDU Distribution: comp Organization: Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO 80525 Lines: 19 I've just gotten a 486 and in looking at the values in the extended CMOS setup I'm not quite sure what some of them are. I hope some kind and knowledgeable soul out there will enlighten me as to what they mean and what values they should typically have for a 25 MHz 486 motherboard. The documentation I got with the machine mentions what some of the settings should be but not what is actually being set. So here are the ones I haven't been able to figure out. Scratch RAM option: 1 or 0 Relocate option: Enabled or Disabled CPU Clock: CLKIN or ICLK ICLK: CLKIN/3 or CLKIN/4 ATCLK stretch: Enabled or Disabled Fast Gate A20: Enabled or Disabled Cache Range: "16 M Cacheable area" is the default value Thanks!
