Unfortunately, I've noticed that these files don't appear in Giffer 1.08's "Open" dialog - even when I specifically choose "Startup Screen" from the dialog's pop-up menu. What's really bizarre is that if I open a GIF file, then save it as a StartUpScreen, Giffer *still* does not show the file in the "Open" dialog (even though it has Giffer's "signature": TYPE=SCRN, Creator=Bozo). If I double-click on the StartUpScreen file, however, Giffer *will* open it and display the image. Is there something wrong with Giffer 1.08 because it does not list these files in its "Open" dialog? Or am I doing something terribly wrong? Any help is appreciated. Rich Quadrel rquadrel@cad.cs.cmu.edu
