Lines: 22 I have a Laserwriter IINT that is 2 years old and has printed 2500pgs. Since this printer is on an Appletalk network I keep it powered up all the time. The problem is this... I had to have a fusing assembly replaced due to paper feed problems. (Ouch...$500) Now I am getting black smudges/streaks on my printouts. I called the service rep. that did the previous repair and was told that I needed a new cartridge... Having spent $500 on the printer already and expecting a cartridge to last ~4000 pgs I am at a loss. I print mostly text with some mixed graphics ...nothing unusual. I cleaned the printer as suggessed in the users manual but the problem remains. Question: Do toner cartridges also age with time? Requiring a replacement after two years? Thanks...Todd Morton Western Washington University toddm@unicorn.wwu.edu
