He has only a backup copy for a version many hours earlier. I told him not to turn off the computer in the likelihood that he should probably run a few more checks to recover the file in case it is still somewhere in the memory of the computer. I would know some tricks to recommend were he using ms-dos. Are there tricks to recommend on the mac, or should he just turn off the computer, drink and glass of bourbon, and sleep? Thanks.
