Anyway, I have two of them now. One: Why the he** does the NeXT give me login failures on whatever port my modem is hooked up to, sometimes? It works just fine for a while, then I can't tip any more (/dev/cu[ab]: device busy; Link Down or somesuch). The only way I've been able to fix this is to power down *and change the modem port*; just powering down then up again doesn't fix it. I don't have the serial line as an alternate login place in the monitor prefs. Two: How can one digitize stuff at a resolution greater than 8Khz? I have my stereo plugged in to the headphone jacks, stereo connections all the way of course, and have CD output. 8Khz ain't that hot; do I have to get some extra hardware for the DSP port, or will better software do? I guess that's all for now... :-) Mike
