I get the lcmss8 \Gamma, which is (of course) a sans-serif gamma. I'd really have the more traditional serif'd \Gamma that's in the cmr font. I tried just setting the font to cmr8 (appropriately scaled), but that didn't seem to work. (Perhaps I did something wrong.) Can somebody tell me the proper magic? Please mail your responses.
