Calling gethostname() has crashed AIX RS6000 boxes here, at other
sites, and at IBM Defect Support.  If you're having problems with
a program that calls gethostname(), check with IBM.

If you're using gethostname() with no problems, please send me a
few lines that show the context of your call.  We're still
waiting to hear from IBM ...
