Specifically, I want to teach the file command on a Sun4 running SunOS 4.1 to correctly recognize and describe an HP9K300 HP-UX7.0 binary executable. Sun3s and Sun4s already recognize executables for the other architecture but now I want to handle formats from another vndor. More generally, I'd like to setup file to recognize non-local executable formats. Can this be done simply with the /etc/magic file? If so, please *mail* me what I need to do. Thanks, David
