I haven't tried on an 3/486 machine but we compile and run Xview rel. 2.0 under SVR4 on a SunSparc1 without problems even though XView is _NOT_ SVR4 compliant i.e. _DON'T_ run it through lint!!!!!!!!! Sun or at least Nokia told us that XView rel. 3.0 '91, '92, ... would (probably) be a SVR4 version.
