(SunOS4.1, NCD Xt) Summary: Xterm hangs when asking for submenu Keywords: Xterm, SunOS4.1, NCD Xterminal Message-ID: <1990Dec28.155240.25168@sctc.com> Date: 28 Dec 90 15:52:40 GMT Organization: Secure Computing Technology Corporation Lines: 19 We have: SunOS 4.1, XR4, and NCD X terminals (with server release 2.2). When I create an Xterm window on a Sun running SunOS 4.1 using an NCD X Terminal, and subsequently hit ctrl-left or ctrl-middle for the Xterm menus, the Xterm hangs. This did not happen under SunOS 4.0.3. Under SunOS 4.1.1, the Xterms sometimes hang immediately, never accepting input (or perhaps hang on first input). Ps tells me it blocks on select and never wakes up. We've recompiled X under the new SunOS with no success. I think we must be overlooking something, but can't figure out what. Any ideas? NCD hasn't heard of the problem before. Thanks. -- Scott Hammond scott@sctc.com Arden Hills, MN 55112 (612) 482-7449
