Icarus Sparry notes a quirk of the December patches:  if you haven't
tidied up the directories after your last C News build before putting
the 13-Dec patch in, there will still be an input/rnews, and the patch
will insert the new input/rnews at the start of the existing file
rather than replacing it.  This is harmless, since the new one ends in
an explicit "exit" on all paths, but it's puzzling at first glance.
