For that, you could get 'awf', the Amazingly Workable Formatter, which is Henry Spencer's awk (!!!) rewrite of "nroff -man" (and a bit of "nroff -ms"). To get the man program, you can anon ftp from tut.cis.ohio-state.edu in pub/perl/scripts/tchrist/man/*, or mail me.
