It does appear to be better-behaved but that may only be because of a new problem: our client machines can no longer talk to our server. This means that most of our users are cut off from INGRES, which does not do much in the way of job security for the computing staff. INGRES "support" has been putzing with the problem for three weeks now, but other than verifying that our installation is ok, hasn't come up with any- thing.
