We also received a windows/4gl application which we intended to run. I wanted to keep all our machines running under the same environment, that is OpenWindows with the OpenLook GUI. So I ran this application under OpenWindows and found that the windows setup by this application had buttons and sliders and table sections overlapping. The overlapping was obviously being caused by variations in the font sizes. I tried setting the Windows/4GL environment variable II_FONT_CONVENTION to both "x11r3" and "xnews" with varying results but still with overlapping. How can I get the application which were developed under the X11R4 supplied with the INGRES Windows product to work correctly under OpenWindows.
