I am having a problem using modems under Ultrix 4.0. I have 5 MultiTech 224E
modems, one standalone and 4 rackmounted. The standalone is older, and
doesn't have exactly the same configuration parameters, but it is close.

I can dial into the standlone fine, but the rackmounts never give me a login
prompt, except on occasion after a reboot they will answer once. Even more
peculiar is that getty is reporting Error 0 in the syslog every 15 minutes,
but only for the four rackmount modems. They are configured the same as the
standalone, with the exception that the rackmounts have more parameters.

Has anyone seen this before? Anyone have parameter settings or helpful hints?
