Lines: 25 I'm trying to locate the author of the paper "An Image Processing Approach to Computer Graphics", published in 1976. The author's name is Jeffrey Entwisle, and he was with the Architecture Machine Group at MIT at that time. Anybody know of his whereabouts? I am investigating the state of the art in graphics as of January 1975, the magic date in the Cadtrak patent question (Cadtrak claims to have invented XOR in a frame buffer, PAN, ZOOM, among other things, and if anybody can prove that these were published ideas before Jan 1975, the patent becomes invalid. I'm not a legal guy, so I'm sure this is a simplified version.). Jeffrey's paper, actually given at a conference in 1974, may be relevant here, and I'd like to follow up to get more references in this time period. Note that Cadtrak's patent was applied for in 1976, but the way the law works, is that the assumed invention date is one year prior to filing. -- Mike Pogue Data General Corp.
