As this is more hardware then software oriented, I tried sci. electronics first - no replies. Anyways, I need to know EVERYTHING about the 26-pin edge connector on some of the higher performance VGA cards. I would really like a pinout with timing info as well as pointers to references on the subject. Does anyone know if that connector is under any standard? Why? I want to know if I can access the video memory faster than using the AT buss. (perhaps even be able to use DMA and write data through the 26-pin connector while the buss is doing something else). I seem to remember a few ads for cards (graphics processors) that used that connector. Please use e-mail. I will archive what I receive. Take care.
