<PostScript printer ever shipped.  What alternative, if any, is offered by

Unusual for me to say or unusual for Adobe to say?  In any event that is what
the book says and they give no alternative.  Is the ^D supposed to clear all
of VM and restore the printer to a "power-up" state?
