Lines: 37 Having watched unsuccessfully for a FAQ or monthly posting in this group, I venture a perhaps misdirected question. In which case, a pointer to another forum would be helpful. In Quattro Pro 1.01, I have the font set to 8-point Dutch for a large table. The small font lets me get enough columns across to make the printed spreadsheet useful. In this table, I've done a /Style/Line Drawing/Outside/Single and a /Style/Line Drawing/Vertical/Single. Here's the problem: if I size the columns to fit the data (/Style/Block Width/Auto Width) then things look fine while I'm working with the spreadsheet editor -- but when I print (/Print/Destination/Graphics Printer) the boxes are too wide: +-----------------------+---------------------+-------... | 123.45 | 67.89 | ... +_______________________+_____________________+_______... If on the other hand I set individual column widths so that the printed boxes fit nicely around the data, then in the spreadsheet editor I'm faced mostly with **** entries 'cause the columns are too narrow. It seems as if whatever algorithm figures out how to draw boxes in graphics mode can't allow for the size of the enclosed font. For now, I'm using a couple of macros to select either width-for-printing or width-for editing, but isn't there a nicer way to make this all come out automagically? Here's a second bonus question I just remembered: with every possible switch set to select YY-MM-DD date formats, I still get the ugly DD-monthname-YY format in page headers (/Print/Layout/Header) in place of the "@" meta-character. Any hints here? Thanks for answers or gentle direction to another newsgroup. -- Jonathan C.
