When I run a plotting program the plots on an HP 7550A pen plotter I get spurious errors of the sort An I/O error has occurred on device COM1 Select: Retry Abort Ignore If I select retry or ignore, the machine freezes. I've called Quarterdeck and they could only suggest that I change my foreground and background ticks to 2 each. That did nothing. I'm running this on a 25 MHZ 386. Please email any responses as I don't normally read this list. Thanks in advance. Ron Ohst Department of Cognitive Science, University of California, San Diego (619) 534-2440 rohst@ucsd.edu
