Lines: 27 Nntp-Posting-Host: mermaid.micro.umn.edu As part of my job duties I recently wrote a specification for a Calendar/Appointment Manager that uses the client-server model. I sent a note off to Jon Postel, and he referred me to rdhobby@ucdavis. He read my specification and thought it was neat. He told me I should organize an IETF working group to flesh out the protocol. However he's probably quite busy, I haven't heard from him in a few days, so.......... I've taken it upon myself to set up a working group. I don't have a charter or any other mumbo-jumbo, but I have set up the following mail-aliases for discussions relating to the topic, they are: chronos@boombox.micro.umn.edu --General discussion chronos-request@boombox.micro.umn.edu --Add/Delete from the list (me) If anyone is interested in standardizing calendar/appointment managers please get in contact with me via the above list. Basically the intent of this protocol is to steer users at our university away from PROFS systems. If there is any interest I'll post the draft specification here.
