Nice piece of work though it's still slightly bugged. Sometimes it seems to have problems with talking to the modem, pressing f12 and escape fixes the problem (Do you flush the RS423 output buffer on entry). This thing looks so promising that i'd like to make a wishlist: While it's nifty to have the original charset from vt100, it does not contain all the international chars of the latin 1 set. If not redefining the charset as an option would make life much easier for us non Britts (yes we actually use them). When leaving the setup a char seems to be transmitted? A zzz function to visit the desktop, like in StrongEd would be nice. In conjunction with the zzz one could imagine droping a textfile on the ARC100 icon would result in the file being execed. A simple extention to that would be to allow the tieing of a filename to a functionkey. This file would then be execed on pressing the key. Allow marking with mouse. Draging over text would result in that text being inserted when mousebutton is released. Allowing adjustment of the delay used when moving the cursor with mouseclicks and ctrl-cursorkeys. I bet I've stared to sound boring so I'll stop. P.S. The speed of this thing makes me suspect that the effective speed of hearsay (deliberately with small caps h :-) at 1200 baud is only 600. -- Regards, Thorvaldur S. Arnarson
