As stated numerous times on the net, DO NOT CLICK THE MOUSE BUTTON(S)
AFTER SHOWING A RENDERING.  HIT THE "ESC" key.  You CAN get back to the
project editor by activating another screen(screen front/back gadget, or
hot-key
combination) then shuffling the rendering screen back to the front and hit the
ESC KEY.  You MUST ACTIVATE another screen for this to work and it may take a
couple of tries but it works.
