Lines: 30 References: I was sitting around reading my copy of AMIGA FORMAT magazine (an excellent British production which I read for game info) when I came across news on the just newly released A1500 in the UK. It seems it was released in time for Christmas and is selling well. It looks pretty much like an A2000 with 1 Meg of RAM and two Internal Drives. Specific stats weren't mentioned, but I suspect it's just an A2000 with an extra drive and a new nameplate. It was selling for around 999 pounds. Personally, I think it sounds like a great idea. Does anyone know what differences between the A2000 and A1500 exist and if it will ever see the light of day in the states? Dave? Anyone? Also, I saw a rather neat 512K Mem Exp/SCSI Controller combo from Commodore UK that fit into the underside of the A500 which pretty keen too. Will that ever hit the states? If you ask me, Commodore UK seems to have it's marketing act together judging from all the Amiga 500 Combo packs and free software incentives they offer. -Moriland -- | hastoerm@vela.acs.oakland.edu | __ | | | __/// Viva Amiga! | | Founder Of: Evil Young | \XX/ | | Mutants For A Better Tomorrow | "Single Tasking: JUST SAY NO!" |
