This has probably been asked before, but here it goes anyway: Is there any software package for the Amiga that takes in equations of the following form: x + y * y / a = z, and when asked, produces results of the kind x = z - y * y / a? The program, I'm sure, would not be a hard one to write, but I'd like to get this rather quickly. (And with my skills, there could be no doubt that I would write code that would fail every hundreth time, and produce otherwise perfect results :-). The equation solver should be able to solve equations of 2-4th degree. Besides, I would like to thank Kent Paul Dolan for the effort he put in the reorganization. I wonder where this might belong in the new hierarchy. Is the posting (reorganization ballot ?) which described the purposes of the new groups archived somewhere? Thank you for any information you can provide! Risto -- Risto Kaivola Internet: dix@clinet.fi, UUCP: ...mcsun!santra!clinet!dix VOICE: + 358 367 249
