All you would have to do it write that one byte... but how to do it? Diskdoctor might fix it, DiskSalv will recover your data. I have a program that will just patch the checksum (I wrote it but never posted it). If you can find a disk editor, such as DiskEd, you could probably just read and re-write the sector, specifying first to fix the checksum. Not to worry, I doubt your data is damaged (except maybe that one file).
