Anyone from NEC out there with the bottom line on this? Any info >appreciated! > From what I learned via a conversation with a NEC tech rep, the PC-VCR is not suitable for 'single-frame' recording. While he said it has a 'frame' recording mode that records essentially 3 frames at a time, he also stated that the PC-VCR tape transport system was not 'industrial strength' and would not be 'durable' enough for single frame recording of computer animations. The bottom line: This deck is great for computer controlled playback and editing - this is what is was designed for. >* Scott Busse email: O O O_ _ ___ ..... >* CIS 73040,2114 ||| /|\ /\ O/\_ / O )=| >* USENET: l | | |\ / \ /\ _\ >* a763@mindlink.UUCP May the frames be with you... \ --- Eric Keisler, University Computer Services, CSU Fresno erick@zimmer.csufresno.edu
