He also installed two 7/8" high floppy drives where the original drive was. He calls it his Amiga 750. In order to do this, he had to cut about 3/4" off the right side of the A-500 motherboard and jumper over any cut traces. None of the I/O ports on the motherboard line up on the back panel so he just cut a long slot in the back of the case. He is using the A-1000 keyboard but it is not fully compatable, he cannot reboot with CTRL-AMIGA-AMIGA, but has to cycle power. The A-1000 power supply was retained. The 512k memory board can't be installed so he had to hack in an above the motherboard memory expansion. Forget about any sort of expansion bus as the connector is next to the power supply. There are a (few) other bits of weirdness about this machine but they escape me at the moment. All in all, it seems to be an awful lot of work for very little gain. << Hope this helps.... >>
