I've been waiting over a year to be paid by Transactor, but since it's defunct
now, it'll never happen.

I'd talk to your attorney about that.  Was your program copyrighted?  If
so, you might have an additional avenue -- that of copyright infringement.
But, talk to a legal mouthpiece before doing anything drastic.  It's a
strange "legal" system we have here.
