A related issue: why don't the current Amiga filesystem handlers give
reasonable facilities to handle bad disk blocks?  On large devices,
which can have 1% or 2% of their blocks faulty, this becomes a major
issue.

Having, in my time, probably installed around a hundred hard disks,
I would also say that a dynamic monitoring of bad blocks that
automatically marked any that failed a write-verify would be useful.
